With position services feature; Logsign will be able to decide the position of the accessed network addresses as in or out, and show it in the logs.
For example if you want to view the accesses from inside network to outside, you can type the query as Source.Position:in Destination.Position:out. Logsign will look at the position services list for the existing network addresses, and then generate the report by using these informations.
There automatically comes a default network list when you install Logsign. So if you have more private networks, it's recommended to add them to Position Services for better reporting by using position columns.
To add your private networks, you can follow the steps below.
1- Open the Settings menu and then go to the tab of Data Input > Position Services.
2- In the window that'll open, you can see the default network addresses with their subnets. You can add your private network addresses or remove the existing ones here.
3- To add a new network, click on Add Network button. After that, you'll need to insert the network address and subnet mask.
4- You can remove an existing network from your list by clicking on Delete button that stays near the network address.
NOTE: Make sure that you inserted correct network addresses. Because the IP addresses belong to these networks will be positioned as in, and the other IP addresses will be named as out.
